Eating Because We Love To (and because it's good for our health)!

The following events will focus on nutrient-dense, grain-free, un(corporately)processed food. Please RSVP and direct any questions to Sarabeth: sara (at) cheeber (dot) com.

Guided Shopping Trips through Greenstar Cooperative Market

* Monday August 12 at 11am
* Monday September 9 at 11am

We'll fill a shopping cart with nutritious, delicious foods (focusing on vegetables, meats/eggs/dairy, and healthy fats); we'll taste new foods; and we'll discuss planning ahead, reducing food waste, keeping Temptation Out Of Our Carts (and Kitchens), reading labels, etc.

Cooking Classes (on West Hill; directions and details will be sent when you RSVP)
2 hours, $25 per person (plus $5-20 ingredients/materials fee)

* Saturday August 3 at 6:30pm - Making Cultured Vegetables and Pickles
* Saturday September 7 at 6:30pm - Really Really Basic Cooking for People Who Think They Don't Like To Cook

Topics will vary seasonally, and may include Lacto-Fermented Vegetables; Basic Kitchen Skills; How to create A Really Delicious Stew; Why Bone Broth Is So Fantastic; How to Chop Vegetables; How to Cook Meat for the Formerly Vegetarian; Breakfast Ideas; Big Batch Cooking; Kefir and Yogurt Made Simple; etc. etc. etc. There will be tasting samples during each class.

----

There will be a free "worktrade" class (making lacto-fermented vegetables) on Tuesday, August 20 from 7-9pm. This will not be a tasting workshop, and you will not take home any kraut, but in exchange for your vegetable-pounding help, you can learn and ask questions as much as you like. :) Please RSVP if you'd like to attend (West Hill Location).
